Since graduating from the prestigious Montreal Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in 2005, Evelyne Brochu has been working nonstop in theatre, film and television.

Some of her more notable television credits garnered her three Gémeaux Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress and the award for Best Lead Actress in a television series. Evelyne is currently starring as the series lead on CBC and Sony Pictures Television’s spy thriller X COMPANY, and has been recurring for the last four seasons on the critically acclaimed BBC America TV series Orphan Black, opposite Tatiana Maslany.

Evelyne’s film credits include a supporting role in the critically acclaimed films Polytechnique, directed by Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Arrival), as well as Café De Flore, directed by Jean-Marc Vallée (Dallas Buyers Club, Wild), which premiered at both the Venice Film Festival and Toronto Film Festival (TIFF) in 2011. In 2012, Evelyne starred in the lead role in the Canadian feature film Inch’ Allah, which premiered at TIFF as well as the Berlin Film Festival, winning the Special Mention Prize of the Ecumenical Jury as well as the International Federation of Film Critics Prize. Her critically acclaimed performance garnered her a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Lead Actress. The following year, Evelyne received another Canadian Screen Award nomination, this time for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Tom At The Farm, directed by Xavier Dolan (Mommy). Brochu also shot The Nest, a short film directed by David Cronenberg in which she and Cronenberg himself are the only performers.

Most recently, Evelyne played a supporting role in the feature Pawn Sacrifice directed by Ed Zwick, starring Tobey Maguire and Liev Schrieber, and lead roles in Miséricorde, directed by Fluvio Bernasconi, and the Belgian film Le passé devant nous directed by Nathalie Teirlinck.

Evelyne can next be seen in the upcoming feature film Rememory, opposite Peter Dinklage and Julia Ormond.
