Janine Lawson
Janine, 70, is a loving, if overbearing, presence in her children’s lives, the kind of mother who always knows when something’s wrong, whether her kids confide in her or not. An active church-choir singer, Janine finds comfort in God and family yet struggles to reconcile the sometimes questionable choices her children make. Janine finds it hard to stay out of the way as she seeks to understand her role as a parent of such different children, and accept her stake in how her children’s lives have unfolded.
