Ken Taylor, the former Canadian ambassador to Iran, talked to George about the historical liberties taken in Ben Affleck's Argo versus the version of events laid out in the new documentary Our Man In Tehran.
Taylor, who helped six U.S. hostages escape Iran, was very clear on his opinion of Argo.
"Argo was a wonderful presentation of chaos and tension," said Taylor. "In fact Ben Affleck is a master at creating that tension. [My wife] Pat and I were in Los Angeles watching it with Ben Affleck and it goes on and it's pure fiction, Argo. With the exception of the six people being in the Canadian household and getting out with Canadian passports the rest is a marvelous Hollywood fantasy."
Our full interview with Ken Taylor airs Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 7 pm.
