Wes Bentley might be best known as Seneca Crane from The Hunger Games franchise, but he first came to the attention of film fans in the Oscar-winning American Beauty — which came out when he was 21.

Bentley's been very open about the difficulties he faced as a young man in Hollywood.

"I just got to Hollywood and I got successful at 19 or 20, and I just went too far with everything," he told George. "Everything was accessible — drugs, partying. I really lost myself completely. I feared the fame. That was a big part of it. I didn't know how to handle it. I didn't know how to handle the attention."

Bentley also told George about meeting his Canadian wife — at an Iron Maiden concert.

"I'm married to a Canadian from Regina, and she's beautiful and wonderful," Bentley said. "I met her through a friend... she invited us all to an Iron Maiden concert, and I fell in love."

And what song was playing?

"It was 'Run To The Hills!'"

Bentley's newest film Pioneer premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
