On January 12, 2010, a catastrophic earthquake rocked Haiti, causing widespread devastation in the already poor country.
Two years later, George travelled to Haiti to get a first-hand look at the recovery for a special documentary episode of the show. In the documentary, George talks with Paul Haggis, whose NGO Artists for Peace and Justice is involved in building schools in the country, as well as Stephanie Tremblay and Janne Suvanto from the World Food Programme, Patrick Elie, a former politician and an activist in Haiti, Father Rick Frechette, director of NPH Haiti, and Lolo, of the Haitian band Boukman Eksperyans.
The broadcast also features George's conversations with a number of others involved in Haiti's recovery, including former Governor General Michaëlle Jean, former NHLer Georges Laraque, actress Olivia Wilde and Haitian activist Jean-Claude O. Fignolé of ActionAid.
