Eve Ensler Believes We Need To Talk To Teens About Sex

Eve Ensler - the writer and activist behind the phenomenally successful play 'The Vagina Monologues' - makes the case for why we need to educate our teenage boys and girls about sex.

Eve's latest book is called 'In the Body of the World: A Memoir'.

In this clip, Eve talks about...

Why she believes we need to teach kids about sex like we teach them about math:
"We have to bring up boys and girls to know what sex is, what touch is. You know, I interview so many young teenagers - and so many boys have no idea what sex is, they don't have a clue!

(And) girls don't know. They get together and it's sexual misery, right? Somebody jumps on somebody and the girls goes 'That's what sex is? OMG that's a nightmare, I don't want it.'

And it begins a pattern... we teach people math, right? We teach people science; we assume they're not born with that life skill of knowing... Why don't we teach people what sex is? Or what touch is? Or what love is?
