One Labour Day weekend, CSI: New York star and author Hill Harper took a long walk on a private Malibu beach with Russell Simmons. That's when a friendly lady invited them to her party and offered… peach cobbler.
Which got them thinking: why peach cobbler?
"There's certain food that, I guess, white folks associate with black people. There's fried chicken, waffles, watermelon, peach cobbler. These are, like, Southern delicacies.
"But what's weird is: everybody likes peach cobbler. How can you not sugared peaches with dough and vanilla ice cream."
