You Don't Like The Truth: 4 Days Inside Guantánamo
If you have a chance this month and next, make sure you catch a screening of Luc Côté and Patricio Henriquez' new eye-opening documentary, You Don't Like The Truth: 4 Days Inside Guantánamo. It explores the the early dealings between a team of Canadian Intelligence agents and the then 15-year-old Omar Khadr. Since 2002, Khadr has been in U.S. military custody. He's accused of killing a U.S. special forces officer during an assault in Afghanistan. If found guilty, Khadr will be the first child soldier ever to be charged with war crimes.
The film features 7 hours worth of previously unseen security camera footage, and a panel of experts who dissect it. Yeah, the audio quality isn't the best, and the video quality isn't either. But this film is important, and deserves to be seen.
Here's the trailer...
Khadr's sentencing session will begin on October 25.
