If you're wondering why some Ontario kids grow up to be Justin Bieber and Avril Lavigne, here's your answer...
According to the Toronto Star, the majority of Ontario grade school music teachers don't have any background in music. And Ontario's waaaay worse than the national average on this.
We've gotta stop treating our province's music programs as "extras" or "frills." They're crucial to creative development and have been proven to improve learning skills.
Ontario, teach your kids to play an ACTUAL tambourine. Getting to level 12 on Tambourine Hero isn't good enough.
