The very last roll of Kodachrome film will be delivered today in Parsons, Kansas. Kodak has been phasing out the materials needed to make and develop that particular type of film. And for years, only one small operation in Parsons - Dwayne's Photo - has been developing the antiquated film rolls.
Oh, sure, you can get some cool effects using apps like Hipstamatic or Instagram, but nothing can capture light quite like Kodachrome does - er, I mean did.
