It's official, dogs are the superior domesticated species. With the help of psychologists Alliston Reid and John Pilley of Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, a border collie named Chaser was able to learn the names of 1,022 toys.
That makes Chaser the smartest animal on the planet - even smarter than Alex, the legendary parrot. Chaser never got less than 18 out of 20 right. Not too shabby for a 6-year-old pup.
