McDonalds is teaming up with the World Wildlife Fund, and no, it's not because the Hamburglar is facing extinction. McDonalds is trying to make its menu greener and kinder to the planet, and the WWF is going to help.

A new McDonalds menu will ban beef and soy sourced from the Amazon, and use sustainable packaging for its food. Now, as much as McDonalds deserves credit, environmentalists have been making noise for years about corporate responsibility when it comes to the environment.

Here's hoping Micky Dee's actually follows through - given that there are 32,000 Golden Arches worldwide. This kind of commitment could make a real difference to the environment...
