Guest Steve Smith/Red Green

If there’s one thing we know about Red Green, it’s that no one has ever found more creative uses for a role of duct tape. But these days Red has turned his attention to more pressing questions: namely, how men can better understand women.

Red, a.k.a. actor Steve Smith, is one of the Canada’s best loved TV characters. The bumbling handyman earned laughs for 15 seasons of The Red Green Show, the longest running live-action scripted comedy in history.

But before the show, there was Smith & Smith, a sketch comedy show starring Steve and his wife. Steve has been happily married to his high school sweetheart Morag for 46 years, so he knows a thing or two about making love last.

Now he’s taken the lessons he’s learned about relationships, added some jokes and duct-taped it all into a new book, Red Green’s Beginner’s Guide to Women (For Men Who Don’t Read Instructions).
