As a teenager in Goose Bay, Labrador, Seamus O'Regan owned the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Lions' Club speech competition, winning it year after year. That boy sure knew how to talk.
And it's served him well: today he's a national news correspondent on CTV. Seamus grew up in Newfoundland, and then, Labrador. His paper route taught him how serious people are about getting their news.
Since then he's nurtured diverse passions: politics, acting, & academics - eventually earning his Master's of Philosophy at Cambridge. After that Seamus worked as a strategist for Newfoundland premier Brian Tobin before he got the call to be on television: after almost a decade as the co-host of 'Canada AM', he made the move from early morning to late nights to join the CTV evening news.
And now with the Let's Talk campaign, Seamus is helping lead a much-needed conversation about the realities of mental health. Bell Let's Talk Day is February 12, 2013.
