Roma Downey has spent much of her career exploring the shared space between spirituality and acting.
It started on 'Touched by an Angel', a wildly successful TV show that ran for nine seasons in the US, featuring Roma as a kindhearted heavenly caseworker helping humans in their moments of crisis.
For the role, Roma drew on her own faith, which helped her get through a complicated childhood in Northern Ireland.
Now, she's part of a new mini-series, 'The Bible', which aims to adapt one of the most influential books of all time. Not only does Roma play Mother Mary, she's also co-producing the series with her husband, Mark Burnett.
