Ahh, it never gets old: Paul Henderson's winning goal, in the 1972 Canada-Russia Summit Series. It made the country go wild - even helped shape our identity. After all, the Summit Series wasn't just about hockey, it was the Cold War, on ice.
But Paul's story is bigger than one goal, one game, or one series. In all, he spent 13 seasons in the NHL. And, 40 years after that epic series, Paul says he never tires of talking to people about what the goal meant to them.
And, much as he's proud of the '72 Series, Paul's just as happy to talk to fans about his faith. As Paul himself will tell you: The goal of his life? It has nothing to do with any hockey game.
