Michael Seater may not be a huge star just yet. But he's well on his way.
Born and raised in Toronto, Michael started acting in the late Nineties, and by 2005, he snagged the lead role on the hit family comedy 'Life with Derek.' The first episode actually set a ratings record for a Family Channel premiere, and the series went on to enjoy a four season run.
Michael also joined the cast of 'ReGenesis' - a sci-fi thriller - where he played Owen for 11 episodes. That role earned him a Gemini nomination, for best performance by an actor in a guest role. Of course, for many actors, the next step is Hollywood... But for now, Michael is staying put.
In his latest project, he takes on a lead role in a new CBC series called '18 to Life.' It's a comedy about two teenagers who get married, even though their families can't stand each other.
