Guest Matt Watts & Bob Martin

So, the show is called 'Michael: Tuesdays and Thursdays'. Who's Michael? A guy wracked with anxiety - he's afraid of everything from small-talk to cats to public transit.

He's been seeing a psychiatrist twice a week for 15 years, Dr. David Storper. And the psychiatrist - well, he's got a few problems of his own.

The show stars Bob Martin - Remember him? He was 'Man In Chair' in 'The Drowsy Chaperone' (and he won a Tony Award for that play - not too shabby). The Michael character is played by Matt Watts. He and Bob co-created the show... and based it on Matt's real-life neuroses.

So what's it like to lay out all your fears for the whole country to see? For Matt, that's gotta hit close to home. And how does helping someone deal with anxiety force you to confront your own?

They're experiences most of us can relate to, and the show deals with them in a uniquely humane way. That's what makes it funny and oddly touching, all at the same time.
