Masai Ujiri is the general manager of the Toronto Raptors, a position he started in 2013. Under his direction, he’s turned the Raps around, leading them to the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
Born in Nigeria, Ujiri’s path has taken him around the globe. He played basketball professionally in Europe before becoming a scout, and ultimately getting into management. In 2012 he was named Executive of the year, the only non-American to ever win the award.
He is the founder of Giants of Africa, a charity he started in order to give back and make a difference in the lives of African kids through basketball.
