Guest Louise Archambault

Louise Archambault wrote and directed her second film Gabrielle about a young woman with Williams Syndrome who falls in love and struggles for independence. A celebrated Canadian/Québécois film director and screenwriter, Archambault won the Claude Jutra Award in 2005 for her debut film Familia. She has directed short films including Atomic Sake, Lock, Petite Mort and Kluane. Gabrielle was also Canada’s official submission to the best foreign-language film category for the 2014 Academy Awards.
