Guest Jeremy Roenick

New Battle of the Blades judge Jeremy Roenick is easily one of the greatest American-born hockey players ever.

He was born in Boston 40 years ago and started playing when he was four. By his teens, he was a bit of a phenom, racking up Gretzky-like numbers. He was drafted straight out of high school by the Chicago Blackhawks and once in the NHL became the media's go-to-guy for quotes. He was surprisingly honest and outspoken.

Over 20 seasons, he put up more than 1200 points. Along the way, he tried his hand at acting on shows like 'Arliss,' 'Hack' and 'The Ghost Whisperer.' And when he retired in 2009, Jeremy got into broadcasting - bringing the same passion he had on the ice to the booth. Famously, he welled up with tears on TV when his beloved 'Hawks won the Cup this year.

Next stop for Jeremy: the Hockey Hall of Fame. He's eligible in 2012.
