Back in 2008, Jared Leto was slapped with a lawsuit. And no, it wasn't for the crime of breaking Claire Danes' heart in 'My So-Called Life'.
What happened was this: Jared's band, the platinum-selling '30 Seconds to Mars', was sued by their label for 30 million dollars over breach of contract.
So, Jared and the band fought back, which isn't surprising for an actor who's never pulled punches when it comes to choosing challenging roles.
Jared's been in films like 'Fight Club', 'Requiem for a Dream', and a role few stars would want to go near: John Lennon's deluded killer Mark David Chapman in the film 'Chapter 27'.
In the end, '30 Seconds to Mars' worked through their legal troubles, and their new record 'Love Lust Faith + Dreams' drops May 21.
Meanwhile, Jared takes us behind the scenes of his fight in a documentary called 'Artifact', which premiered last year at the Toronto International Film Festival.
