As a youngster, Janeane Garofalo dreamed of escaping what she calls a "very garden variety" childhood by marrying Bill Murray, because she thought that people in show business were never unhappy.
While she never did marry Bill, she's had an impressive career in comedy since she started doing stand up in the '80s.
Janeane's first TV gig was on 'The Ben Stiller Show', which was followed by a role in 'Reality Bites', a film that would cement her status as a Generation X icon. After a short stint on 'SNL', she landed the role of Paula on the groundbreaking 'The Larry Sanders Show'.
Since then, Janeane's starred in movies and has appeared on TV shows like 'The West Wing' and '24'. A proud feminist and liberal activist, she hosted political talk radio show 'The Majority Report' on Air America Radio from 2004 to 2006.
Janeane's never shy about sharing her opinion as she did when she challenged FOX News anchors during a live segment on the Iraq war in 2003.
Janeane's currently on the road taking her stand up routine to select cities across North America.
