If you don't already know Emily VanCamp, here's your wake up call. She's one to watch.
Born and raised in Port Perry, Ontario, Emily started dancing at a young age, and before long, was studying at Montreal's prestigious L'ecole Superieure de Danse de Quebec.
But a trip to a film set changed her career path. Instead, she focused on acting, and within a few years, she was starring on the US drama 'Everwood'.
After four seasons, the series was cancelled. But a year later, Emily was back on prime time - on the hit show 'Brothers and Sisters.' She plays Rebecca, an illegitimate daughter-turned-love interest of her half brother - who, it turns out, isn't her half brother at all.
Now, she's about to star in the remake of the classic 'Ben Hur'. A new miniseries airing on CBC.
