For the past eight years, Cesar Millan has taught hundreds of dogs and people how to live together in peace on his show, 'The Dog Whisperer'. For Cesar, there's no such thing as a 'hopeless case', which makes sense given that Cesar was something of a long-shot himself:
At 21, he crossed the border illegally from Mexico into the United States. He had nowhere to go and spoke no English, but he had a kinship with dogs. Raised on TV shows such as Lassie, Cesar wanted to become a famous dog trainer in Hollywood. Instead, he's gone on to become one of the most famous dog trainers on the planet.
But you don't get to be "top dog" without rubbing a few people the wrong way. Not everyone agrees with Cesar's methods, but Cesar says, he always has the dog's best interests at heart.
Now, Cesar is preparing for the next chapter of his life, as the show that made him famous comes to an end. He's in Canada for the 'Cesar Millan Trust your Instincts' 2012 Canadian Tour.
