Every week for six years, a whole bunch of Canadians tuned in to watch Brent Butt and the rest of the crew on Corner Gas, making it one of the most successful sitcoms in Canadian television history. Brett created the show out of a simple question: What would have happened if he hadn’t left tiny Tisdale, Saskatchewan to become a globally famous stand-up comic? Corner Gas won a closet-full of awards and led to Hiccups, where Brett played life coach to fellow CG alum and real-life wife Nancy Robertson. Nancy also has a small part in No Clue, Brett’s first foray into the world of feature films. It’s a tribute to film noir and the detective thriller, but don’t fret: the movie also features plenty of Butt’s signature coffee shop humour.
