Born to two prominent American journalists, including NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams, Allison grew up media savvy, ambitious and smart. But when it came to choosing her own career, Allison chose a different path than her parents.
After a YouTube video starring Allison caught the attention of Hollywood producer Judd Apatow, she went to her first professional audition, and won a leading role. The show was HBO's 'Girls', a groundbreaking series about young women in the 20s trying to find their way in New York City.
