Trendy Blogger Street Style

Off-the-runway looks have become a fashion phenomenon. Street style photographer Stefania Yarhi has followed and documented the city styles from New York, London, Milan to Paris. Here's a round up of some of her favourite trends from the streets and why she loves them.

1. Oversized overcoats

We've been seeing this trend for a while now, but it's not going anywhere. What Stefania loves especially about the big coat is that it's a perfect transition piece to get your through our unpredictable spring weather. The latest iteration of poppy colours with statement lapels which tie into this overall '70s look that's sweeping fashion. The coat is essential for Canadians and having a great "going out" coat should be a staple in every wardrobe.

2. Fringe

Overview: We started seeing fringe on the spring/summer runways this past September and Stefania loves how designers have modernized this very passé accoutrement. From coats, to bags and skirts fringe takes you day-to-night, it's fun!

Street style: Culottes

3. Culottes

Overview: More of that 70s resurgence, it's wonderful how fashion recycles itself. they are a great new pant length and volume that hide a multitude of sins. I think there's a shape for most every woman's shape and Stefania loves their playfulness while masquerading as such a feminine silhouette with the nipped in waist and a-line flare.

Street style: Denim

4. Denim

It's all '70s — high waisted, bell-bottoms are back and finally the skinny jeans may have a true rival. But head-to-toe denim dressing is back, not just the Canadian tuxedo, dresses and skirts with a western feel and great buttons. It's a really versatile fabric we all love and it seems to be getting all dressed up this spring/summer.
