Floral prints are a big message this season, but wat's new about it? A white or pale background is the update for 2015. Take note of the large, oversize patterns, including the leaves and stems. This dress is also about the 'new' neoprene — it is not actually neoprene but it is part of that new craze for stiffer, neoprene-like fabric. It’s super comfy and it's great because it adds structure to the silhouette.

The new military feel is sleek rather than grungy. Look for pieces that are khaki or sand shades in silky, fluid fabric, just like in this jumpsuit. Top off the look with gold accents and add a pop of colour with strappy sandals or open-toe bootie.

Both the boho-hippy-esque side and the more sleek, tailored aspect of 1970s were seen on spring runways. It's about a new (old) proportion: the flared pant. Think Bianca Jagger more than Talitha Getty. Surprisingly the burgundy / brick shade is also on-trend for spring. There are many shades that are traditionally considered fall hues in this year's spring collections, like forest green and dark blue.

The jacket is a staple / building block in many working women's wardrobe. Here is the latest update: the sleeveless jacket. It can be worn on a crisp white shirt (men-style shirts are the new "it" topper this spring), slim pants or a pencil skirt. It's a great piece to achieve a tailored, polished, put-together look without having to wear a traditional jacket.

We have seen a lot of slim, skinny pants in the last few years. This spring, the new proportion is either cropped tailored pants, or an even fuller cut and cropped pants (call them culottes or gaucho). Monochromatic dressing is on again, so go nuts wearing one colour from head to toe!

This is not about looking like you are going to the gym. The athletic inspiration means sport-inspired fabric like mesh, nylon, and sport-wardrobe details such as zippers, hoods, drawstrings. Also shapes borrowed from various sports (tennis-inspired skirts, football/soccer inspired jersey sweaters, sweatpants in "fancy" printed fabrics, etc). This dress has the easiness of a polo dress, the on-trend floral print, the baseball bomber collar detail and zipper all wrapped up in an accessible and very wearable piece!
