Olivia Palermo in Double Denim

Olivia Palermo is one of Sarah’s favourite street style stars who isn't afraid to mix the latest runway pieces with more budget-friendly finds. Head-to-toe denim is a huge trend for spring and so we loved Olivia's stylish take on this former fashion faux pas.

In terms of creating denim looks for spring, watch for the denim skirt to be a key piece — but this season look for longer skirt styles. Also, over the past few years the denim shirt has really become a wardrobe staple. If you don't own one yet, you can't go wrong picking this piece up thanks to its endless pairing possibilities.

Style tip with the denim shirt: push up the sleeves casually to keep the look from feeling too covered up.

Get the look at WINNERS:

  • denim skirt with slit, $16.99
  • pencil shirt, $29.99
  • sandals, $60
  • leather bag, $169.99
  • filigree bangle, $24.99
  • designer leather watch, $100

Jessica Alba and Her Daughter in White

There's really nothing that Jessica Alba can't do. She's been in over 30 movies, has a product line and is a mother of two — plus, she has great style! Head-to-toe white looks are hot for spring and summer but Sarah especially loved this look because of it felt very ladylike and playfully 50s inspired.

We were inspired by Jessica's lady-like cuts of her two-piece white outfit, so we did the same here. The skirt is obviously very demure, hitting just below the knee, but at the same time is finished in an almost neoprene material that gives our look a bit of a sporty twist. Similarly, the boxy t-shirt style top is a combination of sporty and sweet that makes this 50s inspired lady-like look feel modern.

Get the look at WINNERS:

  • full skirt with pleated detail, $80
  • top, $50
  • stud earrings, $16.99
  • quilted shoulder bag, $29.99

Viola Davis in Black and White

Black and white is a classic colour combination that can always be counted on to look pulled together. It’s also a great transitional colour combination as we get ready for spring! What Sarah loves about Viola's look is that even though she's wearing two classic pieces — a pencil skirt and shell — the fact that the top is done in leather gives this look just the right amount of edge.

More and more we’re seeing classic styles and silhouettes updated in leather for an unexpected twist. We love that Viola chose a bit of a sexier style bootie with a peep-toe and cut-out detail which again adds flare to a classic look.

Get the look at WINNERS:

  • leather top, $50
  • skirt, $17
  • suede peep toe bootie, $60

Miranda Kerr in Stripes

As a jet setting super model, Miranda Kerr knows a thing or two about stylish but comfortable airport attire. Here she keeps it simple but chic.

Stripes are a big trend for summer and Sarah loves the nautical nod of these blue and white stripes on this maxi dress, which is back again this summer as a key dress style.

We teamed the maxi with a casual flat sandal and an oversize bag. A denim jacket is another one of those wardrobe staples that you really can't go wrong with. It's a great piece to pack for vacationing that lends a cool layer to any look. Just like Miranda, we had some fun and mixed prints by pairing the striped dress with this incredible printed silk scarf. Scarves are a great accessory to wear for those over-air-conditioned plane rides, and also keep you looking fresh after a long flight by putting some colour up around your face.

And of course, we know celebrities love to hide behind their designer sunglasses, so we finished this look with a pair of aviators!

Get the look at WINNERS:

  • striped terrycloth maxi dress, $35
  • denim jacket, $39.99
  • oversize bag, $49.99
  • Italian leather thong sandal, $39.99
  • silk printed scarf, $99.99
  • aviator sunglasses, $16.99

Michelle Obama in Florals

Michelle Obama is known for her first lady status but she’s also admired for wearing equally fabulous and figure flattering floral dresses!

This spring florals are a big story again but the idea is to opt for big, bold and oversized floral prints that stand out and feel modern. Just like Michelle Obama's dress, we opted for a bold floral print grounded on white. What Sarah also loves about this dress (right picture) is the subtle chiffon overlay on the top that feels so pretty and soft for spring. This is an easy way to wear the sheer trend.

To complete this first lady inspired look, we gave the model a pair of pretty aqua sandals with a mid-height heel that picked up on the greenish-blue colour within the floral print.

This is a great outfit for a spring or summer wedding, shower or special event!

Get the look at WINNERS:

  • belted dress with chiffon overlay, $70
  • aqua sandals, $60
