Chris’ Angels: Do These Slimming Products Actually Work?

in

There are thousands of products on the market claiming to help slim your body fast — some of those in ridiculous ways. Chris’ Angels tested three gadgets that target trouble zones in unique ways.

Face Slimmer, $60

Claim: The Face Slimmer is a simple solution to the timeless problem of how to give sagging facial skin and muscles that much-needed daily lift. Just three minutes per day is all you need; pop in the mold and then make mouth movements. The makers recommend you say vowel sounds out loud over and over again, producing regular and methodical exercises that will strength the twelve facial expression muscles in a comprehensive way.

Taylor Kaye’s Verdict: O.M.G. this is so phallic. I felt like a blow up doll! This reminds me of the wax lips we had growing up as kids. This did nothing for my face but I did get tight abs laughing at how ridiculous I looked!

Amazing Arms, $20

Claim: Go from looking flabby to fabulous in second with Amazing Arms as seen on TV. The secret is an amazing, lightweight, four way stretch technology that gives your arms the slim beautiful appearance and blends in with any outfit.

Cher Jones’ Verdict: The only thing amazing about amazing arms is they are actually making money off of them! My heart really wanted them to be amazing but my fashion sense and common sense prevailed. They are butt ugly and they don't fit properly at all. The arms are a tad short and the back rides up. The material is flimsy and prone to running like panty hose.

Sauna Pants, $39.95

Claim: Sauna Pants provide the benefits of a heat sauna in the areas you need it most: the stomach, waist, butt and hips. It’s so simple to use, just wear it and turn the dial on to your desired temperature. Within minutes, Sauna Pants will make you sweat quickly in the areas where you need it most, helping you shed water and potentially lose weight. The soothing heat also helps ease tight muscles and sore joints. Use for 50 minutes a day.

Joanne Alderson’s Verdict: Where do I even begin? What a hot mess — literally. They are hideous to wear and there is no long term weight loss. It’s just water weight; as soon as you eat or drink it will all come back. I don’t see how long term use can be healthy. I also don’t find them hygienic, mine were COVERED in butt sweat.
