5 Clever Packing Tips

The winter months bring cold and frigid temperatures so it's a popular time for people to escape to a hot and sunny destination. As you pack your bags for warmer weather, here are some tips and tricks to do it most effectively!

Store Makeup in Contact Lens Cases when Traveling

Contact lens containers are great for storing cosmetics like foundation, powders or loose eye shadows. Just take an empty container and fill it with the amount of makeup you need for your trip.

Packing Tip: Earrings in Buttons

Earrings can be tiny yet valuable, so losing them can be heartbreaking. Use a button to keep your earrings together when you pack them.

Packing Tip: Necklaces through straws to prevent tangling

To avoid unwanted tangling, thread a straw with your delicate chains. This way you don’t have to spend minutes finger wrestling your favourite necklace.

Toiletry Liquids

Packing Tip: Plastic Wrap over Toiletry Liquids

Tighten all of your toiletry lids or, better yet, unscrew the lids and cover each opening with a small piece of plastic wrap and then screw the lids back on.

Packing tip: Shoes in a shower cap

Pack shoes inside shower caps to stop dirty soles rubbing on your clothes. The great thing about this tip is that you can find shower caps for free in just about every hotel.
