Tabata Training Workout
Fitness guru Assata McKenzie introduces us to the hardest workout ever (a.k.a. Tabata training). It's like interval training...on steroids.
Created by Izumi Tabata, Tabata training is based on the theory that the body burns more fat with high-intensity exercise. The four-minute workout is made up of eight intervals of 20 seconds of intense exercise and 10 seconds of rest.
Most people won't be able to complete the entire circuit the first time they try it. The idea is to work up to it slowly. You can perform the same exercise for all eight intervals or mix it up and try all or some combination of the following five moves in your workout*. Good luck!
1. Burpee
2. High Reach to Toe Touch
3. Prisoner Squat
4. Bicep Curl to Side Lunge
5. Tricep Push-up to Row
* You should consult your physician before attempting this or any other exercise routine.
