3 Uses for Almond Oil

Who doesn't love almond oil? It's a great source of vitamin E, and protects your skin from UV damage while rejuvenating and moisturizing. As if that wasn't enough, our favourite nutritionist Peggy shares three of her secret uses for almond oil to achieve that soft and smooth skin.

Body Oil

1/2 cup almond oil
2 drops vanilla essential oil

Mix until well combined. After bathing, while you're still in the shower (and still wet) rub oil all over your body and then towel dry off. Rest assured, your skin will be smooooth.

Eye Serum

1 tbsp almond oil
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 drop lavender oil

Lightly pat on skin underneath and to the side of the eye area. Try avoiding contact with eyes. Almond oil and lavender oil work together to reduce dark circles. 

Flaky Scalp Oil

3 tbsp (50 mL) almond oil
1 tsp (5 mL) lemon, freshly juiced

Wisk ingredients in bowl then massage onto scalp. The almond oil will moisturize and hydrate, while the lemon will get rid of dry, dead skin cells. Massage for minimum five minutes (it can stay in hair for 15 minutes), then wash out.
