Warm Grilled Prosciutto Panino


Sandwiches for supper! You'll be excited to get home and try out this grilled prosciutto sandwich from Chef Daniel Mezzolo.

Warm grilled prosciutto sandwich


1 loaf foccacia bread, 1 inch thick slices
200 grams prosicutto, thinly sliced
100 grams fresh mozzarella, sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 clove garlic
1/2 cup arugula
garnish pepperoncini


  1. Slice focaccia into 1-inch thick slices. Brush olive oil on each slice and rub on a cut-open clove of garlic.
  2. Layer fresh mozzarella cheese on one slice of bread. Drape prosciutto on top. Add arugula and top with second slice of bread.
  3. Transfer to Panini press and let cook for a few minutes or use a stove top grill, press sandwich down on grill with a heavy pan of hand sandwich press.
  4. Once sandwich is golden brown on the outside, slice in half and serve with pepperoncini.
