Spiced Brandy Hot Toddy
Mixologist Simon Ho calls this warming winter cocktail a "bartender's Neo Citran." In other words, it's a delicious cocktail for any time you need to feel better.
Ingredients
2 oz brandy
2 lemon wedges
to taste honey spice syrup
to taste hot water
1 stick cinnamon
Honey Spice Syrup
1 cup honey1/2 cup water
4 sticks cinnamon
6–10 cloves
Preparation
- Squeeze lemon wedges in a mug, leaving spent wedges in the mug.
- Pour 1-2 ounces of honey spice syrup over the lemons.
- Add brandy, and top off with hot water.
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick (optional)
Honey spice syrup
- Add all ingredients to a small pot, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce to half over medium heat.
- Syrup will keep for a week or two in an airtight container in the fridge.
