Quick-Fix Shrimp and Noodle Bowl

Looking for a quick way to satisfy your hunger? Kary Osmond shares this colourful and mouth-watering shrimp recipe that you can toss together in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients

4 packs (800 grams) udon noodles
1 lb shrimp, peeled, tails on
2 cups snow peas
1 red pepper, julienned
1 yellow pepepr, julienned
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon minced ginger
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon sambal olek or hot sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
garnish green onion, sliced
garnish red finger chili, sliced
to taste salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Boil udon noodles as per package instructions.  
  2. Sautee shrimp with garlic and ginger until pink.  
  3. Add in prepared vegetables and sautee until cooked, 2-3 minutes more.  
  4. Mix together soy sauce, sambal olek, rice vinegar, cornstarch and sesame oil.  
  5. Add to pan along with udon noodles and stir.  
  6. Transfer to large platter or single serving bowls.  
  7. Garnish with green onion and chili rounds.
