Easy Parsley-Onion Biscuits

Makes 8

2 cups (500 mL) all-purpose flour
2 tsp (10 mL) baking powder
1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
2 tbsp (30 mL) parsley, finely chopped
2 green onions, finely sliced
1 1/2 cups (375 mL) heavy cream

  1. Adjust oven rack to centre position and preheat oven to 425 F (220 C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, parsley and onion until evenly combined.
  3. Add cream; stir just until dough comes together. Knead gently by hand for 30 seconds.
  4. Place dough onto a lightly floured surface; without fussing, shape dough into a round about 3/4 in. (1.5 cm) thick. Using a 2-in. (5-cm) round cutter, cut dough and transfer biscuits onto baking sheet. Gather up scraps of dough to make more biscuits until all dough is used up.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, until biscuits are golden. Delicious served simply with butter or topped with pulled pork to make sliders!
