Peggy K’s Detox Cocktail

It’s time to be kind to your liver after the holiday indulgence. Sip on this green delight and let the ingredients do their magic!

Two glasses are filled with a green juice and are garnished with a pineapple wedge and leaf of kale.

Ingredients

1 lemon
2 fennel stalks with fronds
1 slice ginger, 2-inch piece
2 cups pinapple, cut into chunks
1/2 cup kale
1 cup coconut water
2 pinches turmeric
2 pinches cayenne pepper, or to taste

Preparation

  1. Squeeze the lemon into two glasses.
  2. Pass the fennel, ginger, pineapple and kale through the juicer and divide between the two glasses.
  3. Top off the drinks with coconut water and a sprinkling of turmeric and cayenne.

Yield: 2 drinks
