Cranberry Apple Stuffing
Apples and cranberries are the perfect festive pair for a holiday stuffing — and this one is easy to make too!
Ingredients
1 large loaf rye bread, cubed
250 g fresh or frozen cranberries
3 shallots, thinly sliced
3 gala apples, thinly sliced
1 cup chicken stock
1/2 cup melted butter
50 g caster sugar
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground mace
generous pinch salt and pepper
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375 F.
- Combine ingredients, folding together evenly, and stuff into cavity of goose or turkey.
- Transfer remaining stuffing to a 9-by-9 inch greased caserole dish and bake for 35–40 minutes.
