Cranberry Apple Stuffing


Apples and cranberries are the perfect festive pair for a holiday stuffing — and this one is easy to make too!

Cranberry apple stuffing


1 large loaf rye bread, cubed
250 g fresh or frozen cranberries
3 shallots, thinly sliced
3 gala apples, thinly sliced
1 cup chicken stock
1/2 cup melted butter
50 g caster sugar
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground mace
generous pinch salt and pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
  2. Combine ingredients, folding together evenly, and stuff into cavity of goose or turkey.
  3. Transfer remaining stuffing to a 9-by-9 inch greased caserole dish and bake for 35–40 minutes.
