Voted Toronto’s Hottest Chef in 2012, Jo Lusted is co-host and chef of the exciting reality cooking show, Compete To Eat on Cooking Channel, and author of popular cookbook, Dish Do-Over (you can buy the book here), where she revamps family favourites to be less-guilty pleasures that are full of flavour. 

Jo is a recognizable personality on daytime television, currently entering her fifth season as a regular guest expert on CBC’s Steven and Chris and second season with Canadian Better Living. Her list of other appearances includes Canada AM, The Morning Show, Global TV’s Foodies, Peggy K’s Kitchen Cures, and Workout From Within with Jeff Halevy. Jo also has a unique background behind the camera as a food producer for the Steven and Chris show and a Food Network special, A Pitchin’ in Christmas.

An accomplished recipe development chef, Jo’s client list includes Clean Eating magazine, Canadian Living magazine, Fresh Juice magazine, Longo’s, Campbell’s, Yorkshire Valley Farms, Clover Leaf, Motts, TFal, The Turkey Farmers of Canada, Werther’s Original, Johnsonville, Cake Boss, Butterball, Reynolds, and Club House. Jo also stars in cooking videos and develops recipes for Natural Delights Medjool Dates.

She is currently a regular guest on 95.3 Fresh FM and Sirius XM Radio’s Humble & Fred Radio show and Dishing with DeMontis.

In print, Jo has been featured in Best Health magazine, iRun.ca, and nationally in newspapers across Canada.

In 2011 Jo was awarded a “Golden Whisk Award” from the Toronto Star, as her healthy version of the infamous Kogi BBQ Kimchi Quesadillas was heralded as one of their “10 Best Recipes” published that year.

Jo has traveled extensively for her love of food. From corporate chef of Ted Reader’s Teddy’s Island BBQ in the Dominican Republic, to the chef for Indy Car and Pirelli World Challenge racing teams, and as a spokesperson at countless trade shows across North America, Jo brings infectious energy, enthusiasm, and charisma to all her projects and events.

An advocate of living a balanced and healthy lifestyle, Jo believes in unpretentious food, and has a unique down-to-earth approach. She loves to travel, and is always on the hunt for a food-driven adventure.
