How to Use the Color of the Year

By: Jamey Ordolis

The Pantone color of the year is Honeysuckle (18-2120). According to the world's color authority, it's:

"Courageous. Confident. Vital. A brave new color, for a brave new world.
Let the bold spirit of Honeysuckle infuse you, lift you and carry you through the year.
It's a color for every day - with nothing "everyday" about it."

Steven and Chris are so in love with this color right now that it inspired their design for a vibrant girl's bedroom in their Ask Steven & Chris column in this month's Style at Home magazine.

Flowers

They may not last, but flowers are an easy way to infuse instant color into your space. While the Honeysuckle is a flower, you're better off using roses, peonies, dahlias and larger flowers to imitate to achieve that shot of pink in bouquets.
