Feminine Living Room with a Masculine Edge

Looking to create a feminine space without going over the edge? Sarah Keenleyside shows us how she creates a glamorous living room without getting too girly.

Start with some masculine pieces to give the room a good base. The sofa here has clean lines and comes in a really luxurious buttery grey leather. The white designer chair is quite stark, but is softened when paired with a sheep skin and grey hide rug.

Feminine Living Room with a Masculine Edge: Pink and Gold Onyx Coffee Table

To add a feminine touch, we went with a gorgeous and glam pink and gold onyx coffee table. It’s truly the centerpiece of the room and contrasts beautifully with the grey Oxford couch. The colours of the coffee table are made even more vibrant when set against the fresh coral paint on the wall. Brass and wood accessories warm up the room even further and add sculptural qualities.

Feminine Living Room with a Masculine Edge: Different Coloured Throw Pillows

To keep the room from looking too matchy-matchy, throw cushions on the sofa pick up on different tones in the room and add plenty of texture. The two deep mauve upholstered ottomans add a final punch of colour and their curvilinear feminine shapes finish off this feminine space.
