Everyone knows it's all about the bride's dress - but we didn't forget about the rest of the bridal party here at Steven and Chris! Editor in Chief of
Wedding Bells Magazine, Allison McGill, visited to remind us that photos last forever and so we all want to look our best!
The Grace Kelly wedding:
Gone are the days of the horrible bridesmaid dress. This beautiful raw silk dress is perfect for a variety of bridesmaids as the cross front is universally flattering. The deep v-neck elongates your neck and keeps all eyes on your face.
Taking a style cue from Grace Kelly's silhouette - we lost the lace for details at the bust and shortened the hemline for a modern interpretation of Grace's bridal look.
The groom was dressed in a modern tux featuring grosgrain detail on the lapel.

Instead of a traditional bouquet, a bunch of orchids has a clean presentation that complements the dress.

Not forgetting the groom, his boutonnière doesn't have to identically match the bride's bouquet as long as they are within the same spirit (in our case we opted for lilies for him and orchids for her).

Diana's dress was over the top. Our modern dress featured beading and embroidery on the bodice and a full skirt accentuated by a crinoline. The sparkly headband and vintage necklace added to the princess effect.

Kate Middleton wedding:
A full skirt in a beautiful silk taffeta keeps the texture simple with an elegant silhouette. The dress is strapless and has a modern take on a traditional sweetheart neckline. Michael (from Teatro Verde) chose a bouquet of yellow tulips to keep the look elegant, modern and not too fussy. A clean ivory ribbon picks up on the colour of the dress unifying the overall look.

A sleek bias cut sheath dress is super modern and is flattering on both a boyish or hourglass figure. The deep cross front balances the proportion of the floor length dress, with the beaded belt accenting the waist. The back is beautifully draped and makes for a great view when you're standing at the altar! Keep your accessories clean and simple to not distract from the beauty of the dress. A tight bouquet of ivory peonies reflected the softness in this dress.

Show off your body in a stunning mermaid dress! Beautifully fitted on top - the dress explodes into a cascade of shirred chiffon. In the spirit of a modern bride, we opted for a ring bracelet encrusted with rhinestones and pearls to stand up to the drama in the dress.
