How to Look Younger: Age-Defying Makeup Tips

in

When it comes to makeup, a little bit can go a long way. Makeup artist Cheryl Gushue makes over three viewers who had some aging beauty concerns. See how just a few light touch-ups in some areas can update your look.

1. Brighter Eyes

Eyes are a common concern when it comes to aging. To make them pop, make sure to focus on your brows and lashes, which both thin as we get older. Use a matte, neutral shadow on the eyelids since it tends not to accentuate wrinkles. Also, go for a winged eyeliner look, which gives the appearance of a subtle lift.

2. Glowing Skin

If you want to put the “wow” back in your complexion for the appearance of healthy, glowing skin, try a crème blush since it’s more forgiving and fresh than powder blushes. Also consider getting regular facials to take away dryness and give some of the plump we lack as a result of collagen loss.

3. Fuller Lips

As we age, our lips can tend to look thin and dull. Add some colour to revive them. Apply a creamy-textured lipstick with a small brush to help with precision. Pro tip: Using foundation base under your lipstick combats the feathering that occurs as we all age.
