Barbecue master Zane Caplansky has all the answers when it comes to ribs! Serve this recipe at your next gathering and all your guests will be licking their fingers clean!
2 racks of baby back ribs
Dry Rub 1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon five spice
1 tablespoon coriander
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon chili
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon cayenne
Sauce 1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoon molasses
1 teaspoon salt
Rub both sides of the ribs with the spice mixture.
Wrap the ribs tightly in tin foil and transfer to an oven-safe dish to catch all the drippings.
Bake in the oven for one to three hours at 250 F. The longer they cook, the more juicier the ribs will get.
Remove from oven and discard tin foil.
Put the drippings in a saucepan on the stove. Be careful to drain drippings into pan and not get burned.
Add ketchup, molasses, apple cider vinegar and salt to the drippings. Mix together.
Using a spoon or brush, baste both sides of the ribs with this sauce.
Put the sauced ribs back in the oven on a cookie sheet for 15 minutes until the sauce becomes sticky.
Remove from the oven and serve.
