Gorgeous Prom Fashions

It's just about that time many high schoolers have been waiting for: prom season! To answer some prom dilemmas and share the latest looks of the season we asked fashion expert Genny Iannucci.

Genny's most important tip when shopping for prom is to start early for the best selection and style! Don't forget about the possibility for alterations or dresses to get ordered.

Valeri is attending her junior prom, which is her first opportunity to really dress up. Genny wanted to get Valeri into a fun, cute, glam look.

Jade is attending her senior prom and has an easy breezy style. Jade lives in her jeans and t-shirts and doesn't really dress up; but she wanted an elegant subdued look for her senior prom.

The high school "prom code":

1.      Your prom: you wear a gown.
2.      Someone else's prom but you are dating each other: high low dress.
3.      Someone else's prom and you are just a friend / date for the event: short dress.

A beautiful column jersey dress, the sparkly details add some interest while keeping the look elegant and understated. An empire waist is universally flattering, the beautiful blue jewel tone ensures you'll look great in photos too!
