Beauty expert Sandy Gold came by to show us 3 great beauty trends for spring!

Trend #1: SHADES OF ORANGE



HOW TO GET THE LOOK:

1. Exfoliate - Orange and Coral are shades that are extremely unforgiving and will not look good on dry, chapped lips - so it is super important to exfoliate them first - and you can do that with a toothbrush or a little bit of honey and sugar.

2. Go Big! - As you can see - this look is not about being subtle or shy - it's sexy, dramatic and it's all about the pigment.

So, before applying your lipstick - you're going to want to neutralize your own natural lip colour first by applying a light amount of foundation all over. We do this so that we can see the true shade of the lipstick. If you skip this step, the colour of your lips will dramatically change the colour of the lipstick.

3. Definition & Precision - You want to make sure your lips look nice and defined.  

So, use a nude lip pencil and line all the way around your lips first - this will create almost like a stencil - to help you stay within the lines and create that perfect shape.

Then, use a lip brush instead of the tube to apply your lipstick, as it's more precise.

If at the end you notice that a little bit of lipstick has gone outside of the lip line all you have to do is take a cotton swab, dip it into some concealer and gently correct the area.

Your going to want to keep the rest of your face makeup to a minimum

And for blush, you want to find one that's in the same family as your lipstick. Use the same lipstick as a cream blush. Take clean blush brush and run it along your lipstick and then apply it on your cheeks. It's soft, subtle and looks amazing!

Trend #2: VIBRANT COLOURFUL EYESHADOW



HOW TO GET THE LOOK:

This look is really all about having fun, wearing your favourite eyeshadow and expressing your own mood and personality through colour.

Now, to get your eyeshadow to look nice and pigmented, start by using a cream eyeliner first  in the same shade as the eyeshadow and apply it all over the lid, and along the bottom lash line.

Then layer the eyeshadow on top of that to really intensify the colour.

So a quick tip to make your lips matte is to take a sponge and dip it in translucent powder. Press and pat it into your lips.

Trend #3: NATURAL BARELY THERE MAKEUP



HOW TO GET THE LOOK:

Now, we're going to talk about the natural, barely there makeup look - which is super easy to do! Literally, you can do this look in under 5 minutes - and with just a few products.

So the key to the 'au natural' look is a flawless base. And, by flawless, I mean skin that's hydrated, exfoliated and vibrant.

TIP: PAT YOUR MOISTURIZER INTO THE SKIN! Then to even out the complexion mix together one pump foundation with a little bit of concealer and apply it all over. This gets rid of all the redness and leaves you with a nice flawless canvas.

Next, apply a light dusting of bronzer to give the skin a nice healthy glow.

Now, use the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick, which is great for highlighting the lips, eyes and cheeks!
