Beauty Master Class: Long Wearing Lips

Beauty expert Sandy Gold shares her tips and tricks for the longest wearing lips.

You'll need:

Toothbrush
Your favourite lipstick shade
Concealer
Pressed or loose powder

1. Exfoliate

Exfoliate your lips with your toothbrush every morning to keep them nice and smooth. For a more intense scrub - massage your lips with some honey and sugar.

2. The Bottom Layer of Lipstick

Create a dry stain by pressing the lipstick into your lips with your finger. Make sure that you are doing this on smooth but dry lips -- don't apply any lip balm otherwise your lipstick will just slide right off.

Use your middle finger for the larger part of your lip and your pinky finger for the top peaks of your lips.

Blot with a tissue and apply another layer of lipstick. Repeat this step about three or four times until you've created a few layers of lipstick.

Products used: Bite Beauty Luminous Lipstick in tannin, apricot and cin cin; UR Minerals Shea Butter Lipstick in ruby red; Mineral Fusion Lipstick in flashy

3. Top Layer of Lipstick

Apply the lipstick straight from the tube for a creamy and smooth top layer of lipstick. Start from the middle of the lip working outwards.

Once you're at the middle of your lips apply your lipstick with your lips closed to prevent getting any lipstick on your teeth.

4. Correct

Use concealer on a pointed cotton swab to correct any mistakes.

5. Set

Use some powder on a cotton swab applied along the edges of your lips to prevent any bleeding.
