Pele will be World Cup commentator

Brazil's SBT TV network has signed Pele as a commentator for the World Cup in South Africa.

SBT spokesman Rodrigo Rainho says details of the contract for Brazil's record international goal-scorer will be announced next week.

He said Friday that SBT will not broadcast the World Cup, but Pele and others will provide commentary on the games in a yet-to-be defined format.

Pele worked as a commentator for the Globo TV network during the 1994 World Cup in the United States.
